Dec 02, 2021 (newstodate): November 2021 saw cargo volumes through Billund Airport up by 26.3 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 7,076 tonnes.
Driving the growth were again exports, where volumes increased by no less than 40.6 percent, to 5,441 tonnes.
Imports performed less positively, with a drop by 5.8 percent to 1,635 tonnes.
In January-November 2021 the airport has thus seen volumes rising 15.8 percent, y-o-y, to 70,728 tonnes, with exports up 28.3 percent to 53,499 tonnes while imports were down by 11.2 percent to 17,229 tonnes.
So far, 2019 remains a record year at Billund Airport with 74,064 tonnes of cargo handled, continuing the sustained trend of annual cargo records since 2016, while 2020 ended with 67,149 tonnes, down 9.3 percent, y-o-y, reflecting the impact of the Covid-19 spread.
