Dec 15, 2021 (newstodate): Passenger air traffic is slowly, but steadily, building up again at the Nordic capital airports as seen from the November 2021-figures out now.
Measured in recovery rates, Nov 21/Nov 19, and disregarding actual differences in volumes, Norway's Oslo Airport takes the lead among the five Nordic capital airports with 68.5 percent of the passenger volumes recovered in November 2021, compared to November 2019.
Second comes Denmark's Copenhagen Airport with a recovery rate at 60.9 percent, followed by Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport with 58.9 percent of the pax volumes back in November 2021, and Iceland's Keflavik Airport with 57.4 percent.
Finland's Helsinki Airport trails behind, with only 44.1 percent of the passenger volumes recovered.
An "outsider" in the Nordic table is, however, Denmark's Billund Airport that saw 70 percent of its passenger volumes retrieved in November 2021 - taking a clear lead, percentage-wise, over the "big brothers" in the league.
