Dec 03, 2021 (newstodate): After only nine months, Finnair is again adjusting its set of contracts for ground handling at Helsinki Airport.
Returning to provide ground handling at Helsinki Airport of Finnair's fleet of long haul aircraft, primarily the Airbus A350, is Swissport Finland, while Aviator will provide ground handling services for the airline's Airbus A320 narrow-body fleet only.
Holding the contract with Finnair at Helsinki Airport since December 1, 2011, till March 2021, Swissport is thus regaining the contract that was assigned to Aviator only from March 31, 2021.
At the same time, the Finavia-owned handling company Airpro will provide ground handling of Finnair's E190 aircraft, while Swissport will be handling the ATR aircraft of Norra, the regional subsidiary of Finnair, at Helsinki.
