Dec 06, 2021 (newstodate): As reported earlier, Finnair is again adjusting its set of contracts for ground handling at Helsinki Airport.
Providing Finnair - its launch customer in Finland - with ground handling services at Helsinki Airport since December 1, 2011, until March 2021, when the contract went to Aviator, Swissport is now regaining the contract to provide ground handling at Helsinki Airport of Finnair's fleet of long haul aircraft, primarily the Airbus A350.
Starting from December 1, 2021, Swissport is already handling Finnair's cargo-only flights, while the ground handling service will next be extended to somprising all Finnair wide-body flights from December 13, 2021.
Aviator and Airpro will continue to provide ground handling services for the Airbus A320 and Embraer fleets, respectively, as well as taking care of baggage handling.
