Dec 17, 2021 (newstodate): Skyways Technics Board of Directors will have a new member - the Faroese national Magni Arge.
Mr Arge's name will ring familiar in the Nordic aviation industry, where he served as CEO of the Faroese national carrier Atlantic Airways for 18 years, from June 1995 till November 2013; a position he lost after disagreement with the Board over strategy.
Skyways Technics is working on a strategy of growth and expansion with HQ at Sonderborg, Denmark, and a subsidiary in Kuala Lumpur, a sales office located in Dubai, and a sales office in Florida, employing a total of some 150 staff.
Since 2012, Skyways Technics operates an 8,000 m2 maintenance hangar at Billund Airport, and also opened a new subsidiary in early 2020 at Lithuania's Kaunas Airport, an established center for aircraft maintenance.
Built on the former Cimber Air technical department, Skyways Technics managed by Benjamin Nielsen as CEO has its focus on maintenance, repair and spare part support for ATR and CRJ aircraft
