Dec 01, 2021 (newstodate): Already affected by travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 as well as steadily changing weather conditions, aviation in Greenland has also suffered from power outage.
Probably due to a cable cut, Greenland's capital Nuuk lost its electricity supply from Monday evening and the situation still remains unstable, leading to official calls on the public to exercise utmost restraints in keeping electricity usage at a minimum.
Almost all flights by Air Greenland were cancelled during Tuesday, while the airline managed to see its Airbus A330 route from Copenhagen landing safely at Kangerlussuaq Airport on Tuesday, and today's departure for Copenhagen Airport has also performed as planned.
