Nov 25, 2021 (newstodate): At first it seemed that Bergen, in Norway, would be the only Scandinavian destination served by the US carrier United Airlines in 2022.
   But - United is indeed to return to Stockholm as well in summer 2022, with the first flight on May 14, 2022, offering daily rotations from New York Newark Airport with Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
   United Airlines will thus be offering the so far only direct service operated by a US airline between the two destinations.   
   United Airlines first put Stockholm on its route network with seasonal services in 2005 and has since been on/off.
   Stockholm Airport is indeed seeing US-bound flight connections rebounding after the Corona-virus.  
   SAS has thus already returned services from September 2, 2021, between Stockholm Airport and New York JFK, offering three weekly rotations after nearly 18 months suspension.
   Also, Finnair will launch services on the route from Stockholm to New York EWR starting from December 7, 2021, with three weekly rotations,
