Nov 16, 2021 (newstodate): Ryanair has applied for slots from summer 2022 at Norway's Oslo Airport, according to a Norwegian aviation site.
Ryanair is already operating flights from Oslo Airport to London, Vilnius and Katowice; but applications have now been filed for launching also eight new routes to Paris, Palma de Mallorca, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Alicante, Berlin, Brussels and Malaga.
If slots are granted and actually exploited, the new routes would heat up competition in the market now dominated by SAS and Norwegian, but it remains to be seen if Ryanair plans to open up a new base at Oslo Airport, like already realized at Copenhagen and Stockholm.
