Nov 25, 2021 (newstodate): The Latvian ACMI and charter carrier SmartLynx has landed a new customer on the African continent: Air Peace.
The Nigerian carrier Air Peace, the largest in West Africa, and SmartLynx Malta have signed a six months damp lease contract comprising two Airbus A320 aircraft to be based in Lagos till May 11, 2022.
-We are damp-leasing the two A320 aircraft to meet the growing travel demand in the Nigerian and larger West African markets, while we expect to take delivery of more Embraer 195-E2 airplanes. The aircraft will be deployed to boost both domestic and regional connectivity for our customers, as the Yuletide draws near, says Oluwatoyin Olajides, Air Peace COO.
Air Peace currently services 19 domestic routes, six regional routes and two international destinations, including Johannesburg, with a fleet of 30 aircraft, the latest being four new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft.
