Nov 29, 2021 (newstodate): In the latest air safety black list published on November 25, 2021, the EU Commission keeps 97 airlines - one more than on the previous list - out of its airspace.
With the latest update, all airlines certified in Moldova have been removed from the EU Air Safety List, following improvements to aviation safety in the country.
All of Moldova's carriers, except for Air Moldova, Fly One and Aerotranscargo, have been banned from the EU airspace since 2019, but are now free to return to EU skies and airports.
The new EU black list shows only one Russian air carrier has been added due to concerns about its ability to comply with international standards: Skol Airline based in Kaliningrad and operating a fleet of four fixed-wing and 39 rotary-wing aircraft.
