Nov 09, 2021 (newstodate): The new Lithuanian charter and ACMI airline, Heston Airlines, is now offering its first Airbus A330-200 aircraft for commercial all-cargo services.
The aircraft has been put on Lithuanian registers and is thus ready for cargo operations with ZERO LOPA configuration.
The second Airbus A330 aircraft was delivered to Heston Airlines in September and is undergoing a similar ZERO-LOPA conversion.
Heston Airlines has signed a lease contract with the Chinese-owned Irish aircraft leasing company Avolon for three Airbus A330-200 aircraft, formerly operated by Aeroflot till spring 2021, and undergoing pre-delivery maintenance in Hong Kong.
Two of the three aircraft will initially be operated as all-cargo aircraft with all seats removed, while the third will be available for charter and ACMI passenger operations.
Managed by Jonas Rinkauskas as CEO, Heston Airlines plans to grow the aircraft fleet to seven aircraft by 2022, and eventually up to 10 aircraft at a later stage, all placed on the charter and ACMI markets.
