Nov 05, 2021 (newstodate): The Icelandic charter and ACMI carrier Air Atlanta Icelandic has now received the first of three Airbus A340 aircraft.
   As reported by newstodate  earlier, the carrier has signed a short-term lease contract for two A340-600 and one A340-300 aircraft that will be placed on an ACMI contract with a customer to operate all-cargo flights to cope with the current rapid growth in demand for cargo operations in the aftermath of the Covid-19 disruption to supply chains.
   The Airbus aircraft will be registered on the carrier's Icelandic AOC and commence  commercial operation this year.
