Nov 10, 2021 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport saw its total cargo volumes up by 26.3 percent, y-o-y, to 229,714 tonnes in January-October 2021, legacy and integrator carriers included.
While continuing on the path to post-Covid recovery, volumes in January-October 2021 are still 20.9 percent below volumes in 2019; in Jan-Sep 2021 the increase in total volumes were 25 percent, y-o-y, while still 22 percent below 2019-volumes.
Excluding integrators DHL and UPS, the airport's total volumes were 156,254 tonnes against 120,835 tonnes in 2019 - an increase by 23.3 percent, y-o-y.
Belly cargo alone saw an increase by 36.7 percent, y-o-y, reflecting the sustained return of the airport's passenger traffic.
On the other hand, cargo on all-cargo and freighter flights dropped 71 percent, y-o-y, to only 370 tonnes in January-October 2021 as the pressure of import of PPE and vaccines eased.
