Nov 11, 2021 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport has come to play a significant role in China-US e-commerce cargo traffic.
Since early September 2021, Wamos Air has been operating a thrice-weekly all-cargo service between Shenzhen in China and New York with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft routed via Tallinn Airport for fueling and handling of import and export cargo shipments.
The service is driven by e-trade exports from China to Europe and the USA, with the trans-polar flights routed via Tallinn Airport in both directions.
As the Christmas peak is approaching, and with the sustained bottle-necks in the global supply chains at sea and in the air, the traffic by Wamos Air through Tallinn Airport is growing - seeing no less than four operations in one day this week.
