Nov 12, 2021 (newstodate): Iceland's Keflavik Airport will see the return of Air Canada in summer 2022 - if plans hold...
While axing some international routes in 2022, the carrier will be back on the seasonal route between Toronto and Keflavik in summer 2022 after suspending flights during this year's summer schedule, offering instead bookings on flights by United Airlines between Iceland and New York Newark, connecting to Air Canada flights between New York and destinations in Canada.
With the virgin flight in June 2017, Air Canada become the first Canadian airline and only Star Alliance carrier in North America to fly to Iceland, offering a total of seven weekly flights - four from Toronto and three from Montreal operated by Air Canada's subsidiary Air Canada Rouge.
