Oct 26, 2021 (newstodate): the Turkish charter carrier Corendon Airlines plans to open flights from two airports in Denmark from summer 2022.
Plans are to allocate three aircraft to Denmark for flights from Copenhagen and Billund on 22 routes with 44 weekly departures.
So far, the carrier has however not initiated negotiations with the Danish unions that are keen to see airlines signing collective agreements with unions as a precondition for base openings.
On April 8, 2022, the airline will start out with weekly direct flights from Antalya to Copenhagen, Billund and Aalborg, and as of June 24, two flights to Copenhagen.
Positioning one aircraft in Billund, Corendon will offer 14 weekly flights to Turkey, Spain and the Greek Islands, while two aircraft based in Copenhagen will be operating 30 weekly flights.
