Oct 07, 2021 (newstodate): Finland's Tampere–Pirkkala Airport is seeing traffic returning after the long Covid-19 disruption.
Back on the airport's 2,700 m runway is airBaltic from October 5, 2021, with two weekly rotations from Riga using Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
airBaltic launched twice-daily flights with Fokker 50 aircraft from Riga to Tampere on October 1, 2008, as the airline's fourth route to Finland after Helsinki, Oulu and Kuopio.
Ryanair is also to reopen flights on the route between London Stansted Airport and Tampere from November 2, 2021, and on the horizon are also flights by SAS on the seasonal route connecting with Stockholm during the winter schedule.
