Oct 29, 2021 (newstodate): As the air travel market is slowly recovering, Finnair is gradually awakening its fleet of aircraft grounded in Tarbes, France, and Prague, Czech Republic.
During the Covid-19 lockdown period, Finnair has put up to 35 narrow-body aircraft for long-term parking at the two airports, in addition to six Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
The first Airbus A320 was returned to Helsinki in May 2021, and plans are now to gradually start the process to return the other parked aircraft to operative conditions before the end of this year.
So far, 12 aircraft will return to services during October-December 2021.
