Jan 26, 2021 (newstodate): Starting from this summer, the Russian carrier Pobeda will operate into Riga Airport, Latvia.
The carrier will launch flights from June 1, 2021, to Riga from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport with two daily rotations.
Riga in Latvia was to be the carrier's first destination in the Baltic region, starting out with one rotation between Moscow Vnukovo Airport and Riga Airport from July 2019, earlier slated for start from April 30, 2019, with three weekly rotations.
Later, plans were to launch two weekly rotations, going up six weekly flights from September 16, 2019, and eventually expanding to daily flights from October 1, 2019.
Then the Covid-19 lock-down hit the plans...
