Flyr has applied for an AOC with the Norwegian CAA while the process will await the finalization of the funding of the project that is still pending.
Flyr will be funded through private investments of NOK 600 million, with Arctic Securities, along with two other Norwegian investment banks advising in the placement.
The main driver in the team behind Flyr, Erik G. Braathen, has named Tonje Wikstrøm Frislid as CEO in the management team that also comprises Thomas Ramsdahl as CCO and Brede Huser as CFO.
Ms Frislid takes up the position with a firm grasp on airline management after more than 10 years with the LCC Norwegian serving as VP Crew Management till March 2018.
