Jan 08, 2021 (newstodate): If you still have money left after the Christmas and New Year spending, January 4, 2021, will provide a unique shopping opportunity.
   Nine abandoned aircraft will be on auction at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, including two MD-82, three Airbus A300 and one Airbus A310 aircraft.
   When a plane is sold, the net total amount – sale price excluding the fees, taxes and other liabilities – will be kept in an escrow account for five years.  
   If the owner of the plane makes an application in the meantime, the net amount will be paid out; otherwise the money will be transferred to Turkey's General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
