Jan 15, 2021 (newstodate): Finnair is tentatively scheduling its long-haul operations aiming at a gradual increase in routes from April 2021 as seen from the booking site.
One promising sign of recovery will be the reopening of flights from Helsinki to New York from March 28, 2021, after a long hiatus in 2020 as the coronavirus struck. The carrier has thus performed only one rotation on the route during the period.
Flights from Helsinki to destinations in Japan will also be resumed with start of services to Osaka to commence from March 29, and to Nagoya from June 2021.
Also flights to Beijing are slated to be resumed from May 10, 2021.
On the monitor at Helsinki Airport are now already Finnair flights to Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul, Shanghai and Hong Kong - but with limited frequencies compared to pre-coronavirus times..
