Jan 26, 2021 (newstodate): Thriving on the current spike in demand for air cargo capacity, the Danish cargo carrier Star Air is expanding as well.
The carrier privately owned by the Danish A.P. Moller Maersk Group currently employs some 150 pilots, last adding a further eight pilots to the roster only in December 2020.
At the same time, plans are to set up a new base at Leipzig/Halle Airport alongside the current base at Bonn/Cologne Airport.
In the fleet of Star Air are 14 Boeing 767 cargo aircraft including 11 Boeing 767-200 and three Boeing 767-300 converted freighters.
