Jan 27, 2021 (newstodate): Building on the success with the launch on December 14, 2020, of seafood all-cargo flights by Qatar Airways to Doha, Evenes Airport in northern Norway is today adding another new operator.
   In cooperation with Kuehne & Nagel Norway, Virgin Atlantic is thus setting up two weekly flights from Evenes to London Heathrow using Boeing 787-9 aircraft to lift some 45 tonnes of seafood belly cargo into Virgin's route network in London, with onward transfer to the US market.
   The new Virgin flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while flights by Qatar Airways Cargo are currently performed on Tuesdays and Thursdays pending the return of the third flight on Mondays.
   Seafood exporters in the northern region will thus now have up to daily all-cargo flights to markets in both Asia and North America.
