Sep 22, 2020 (newstodate): Total cargo volumes at Estonia's Tallinn Airport continue to fall well behind 2019-levels.
In August 2020, the airport handled a total of 694 tonnes of shipments including 625 tonnes of cargo and 69 tonnes of mail.
While cargo was thus actually increasing by seven percent, y-o-y, mail volumes continued to decline by 67 percent, from 230 tonnes in August 2019.
The absence of mail started abruptly from April 2020 after volumes at 245 tonnes in January, 202 in February, and 131 in March 2020.
Obviously, the airport has not succeeded in retaining a position in the e-trade logistics now bypassing Estonia's capital airport.
