Sep 25, 2020 (newstodate): Cargo carried by 35 Russian airlines in January-July 2020 was down only two percent, y-o-y, to a total of 598,856 tonnes, indicating a sustained recovery.
Invariably topping the list in volumes was AirBridgeCargo with 276,025 tonnes but still down 12 percent, y-o-y, followed by Aeroflot that dropped no less than 27.5 percent to 86,069 tonnes as its passenger traffic is still limited due to the coronavirus.
#3 on the list, Sky Gates lifted 38,993 tonnes after almost trebling its volumes during the period.
#4 Sibir S7 also managed an increase by 65.9 percent to 33,095 tonnes, and #5 on the list, the cargo charter airline Aviastar-TU saw volumes up by 43.9 percent to 23,788 tonnes during the period.
