Sep 18, 2020 (newstodate): Fresh statistics from Avinor show a decline in flown cargo and mail volumes by 12 percent, y-o-y, in January-August 2020, at Norway's Oslo Airport.
A total of 105,268 tonnes of cargo was thus handled at the airport during the eight months period in 2020, against 119,670 tonnes in the same period last year.
In August 2020 alone, the airport handled 13,418 tonnes of cargo, also down 10 percent, y-o-y.
In 2019, the airport handled a total of 180,628 tonnes of flown cargo, increasing only two percent, y-o-y, to which should be added an estimated volume of some 200,000 tonnes leaving on road feeder services from Norway to a range of European airline hubs for onward transportation by air.
