Sep 24, 2020 (newstodate): Hopes to see the launch of a freighter service connecting the airports of Riga and Jonkoping seem to rest on thin ice.
   -We have been actively involved in the project as a Riga-based carrier operating SAAB and ATR freighters, and we would indeed be only happy to provide the capacity, says Jelena Rigere, RAF-AVIA Commercial Manager.
   -Our research among potential customers and forwarders has, however, shown that there is no support or commitment in the market for freighter operations between these two airports.
   -We did have some positive response from a cargo GSA in St Petersburg that also could also not secure any substantial commitments from the regional market, says Ms Rigere.
