Sep 25, 2020 (newstodate): Stakeholders in the Norwegian seafood industry may soon implement a logistics system connecting exporters with carriers and all other involved parties for digital interaction and document flow.
The software company Maritech is thus offering its Maritech Supply Chain tailored to support and digitize complex processes across the supply chain, simplifying secure interaction between exporter, carrier, terminal and customs clearance.
The solution is the result of an innovation project launched in 2017, Digitization of Norwegian Seafood Transport, based on cooperation between Maritech and Cermaq, Coast Seafood, Schenker and Timpex.
The new solution supports document flow and communication, invoice processing, price management and processing of customs documents.
All changes along the road are visible and traceable, which ensures correct data, simple documentation and reduction in waiting time throughout the entire value chain allowing for prompt and efficient handling of sudden changes leading to improved predictability - and resolving an issue that has long been debated in the industry.
The Maritech Supply Chain solution is first to be launched in the Norwegian market, with an international launch to be announced at a later stage.
