Sep 30, 2020 (newstodate): Starting from October 19, 2020, the Spanish airline will commence flights between Helsinki and Stockholm with a Metroliner SA226 aircraft.
The flights are performed on behalf of DANX Finland that has contracted the Finnish aviation consultancy Cargo Flight Services to deliver the capacity for four weekly in-night rotations starting and ending in Helsinki.
That leaves the operation with a limited volume of flight hours, with the Metroliner parked idly at Helsinki Airport during the daytime and during weekends.
-Customers for the leg Stockholm-Helsinki are onboard, but filling up the aircraft from Helsinki to Stockholm will be a challenge warranting a balanced operation, says Heikki Nikamaa, CFS owner and CEO.
-In addition to this, we will also be working on the market to find customers for the aircraft outside the schedule serving DANX flights, so all in all we are now approaching the market to optimize the utilization of the Metroliner, says Mr Nikamaa.
The round fuselage of the Metroliner offers the capacity of 18 cbm cargo space.
