Sep 21, 2020 (newstodate): The Finnish market can soon look forward to the opening of a new freight forwarding company in Helsinki: Inter-Scan Sea & Air.
The Danish freight forwarder Inter-Scan is actually already operating in the Finnish market through its partner Varova, but is now calling candidates for a new position as Inter-Scan Finland Branch Manager to set up and head an own office with three to five staff members launching business from December 2020/January 2021.
-Smaller customers around the world call for one-stop solutions to their needs for freight forwarding services in the Nordic markets, rather than having to shop around country by country to find a partner in the region. And as we are already present in the three Scandinavian markets, it is a natural decision for us to add an own office in Finland as well, says Bjarne Linnesoe, Inter-Scan Sea & Air Director Nordic Group.
-Today, there are about 20-25 freight forwarding companies in Finland, and deducting some 10 of the largest players from the list this would leave ample space for a new entrant like Inter-Scan.
-Customers in Finland prefer to deal with Finnish partners, so we have decided to recruit Finnish, rather than Danish employees and are now in the process of selecting the team to launch business under our own brand, says Mr Linnesoe.
