Sep 09, 2020 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI carrier Great Dane Airlines has now received the long-awaited go-ahead from Vietnam.
-Only yesterday, we received the official permit to fly to Vietnam to launch the six-months wet-lease operation on domestic flights to Con Dao, says Thomas Hugo Moller, Great Dane Airlines Mng Dir.
-The two Embraer A195 aircraft and 45 cockpit and cabin crew members will leave our base at Aalborg Airport on Friday, September 11, and operations on behalf of Bamboo Airlines are now slated to start from September 28, 2020.
-Prior to that, all crew members will be quarantined for two weeks in Vietnam before allowed to start working, says Mr Moller.
The operation was earlier planned to launch already by early August, but stalled due to the abrupt recurrence in late July of Covid-19 in Vietnam.
