Sep 03, 2020 (newstodate): Overall, Norway's export of fresh salmon to the world's marketplaces is still suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the first 35 weeks of this year, the country's salmon exports were down 4.5 percent, y-o-y, to 560,408 tonnes.
The Chinese market is among the most affected, seeing the volume of Norwegian salmon down by 30.5 percent, y-o-y, in weeks 1-25, 2020, while volumes in week 35, ending August 30, down 52 percent, to a mere 201 tonnes.
Hong Kong is also suffering, with volumes during weeks 1-35 down 20.9 percent, to 7,006 tonnes, and in week 35 down 39 percent to 170 tonnes.
