Aug 04, 2020 (newstodate): The Vietnamese airline Bamboo Airways is awaiting the reception of the first of its two Embraer E195 aircraft this week.
The delivery has been delayed by the unsuspected rise in coronavirus in Vietnam, and further aggravated by delays in the registration of the two aircraft that are leased from the Danish carrier Great Dane Airlines on a six-months ACMI contract.
Both aircraft have been painted in Bamboo Airways' livery at LOT's technical premises at Warsaw.
The first delivery will be later this week, and the second aircraft is due for delivery a few days later.
The aircraft will be operating flights from various Vietnamese destinations to the small island of Con Dao that has a small airport with a 1,800m runway.
