Aug 28, 2020 (newstodate): Sweden's Stockholm Skavsta Airport has a new CEO from September 2020: Cedric Fechter.
Mr Fechter replaces the airport's CEO since September 2014, Peter Steinmetz who is heading for warmer air to take up the position as Director General Civil Aviation Authority Curacao.
Cedric Fechter has last been General Director of Aeroports de Lyon that is owned by the French Vinci Airport as is also Stockholm Skavsta Airport since April 2018 when the Group took 90.1 percent of the shares, with the remaining shares held by Nykoping commune.
Mr Fechter will be facing the challenge after Ryanair closed its Skavsta base from March 29, 2020, leaving Wizz Air as the airport's single largest operator.
