Aug 14, 2020 (newstodate): A Lufthansa Technik customer since 2007, Norwegian has renewed and extended its contract with the aircraft maintenance provider after a global tender process.
   The new contract comprises the overhaul of the carrier's fleet of 90 Boeing 737-800 fleet by another five years, with the first operation planned for September 2020 already.
   The maintenance services are performed at Lufthansa Technik's facilities in Budapest, Hungary, within the framework of a Total Base Maintenance Support contract.
   Norwegian has been a Lufthansa Technik customer since 2007, starting out with component supply, later adding wheels and brakes maintenance and engine overhaul for
engines of the CFM56-7B type.
