Aug 25, 2020 (newstodate): Delta Air Lines is planning for resumption of services to Iceland in summer 2021.
The carrier has been online between New York and Keflavik with year-round flights since summer 2011 as well as seasonal summer flights between Minneapolis and Keflavik.
The New York flights were, however, suspended from winter 2019/20, and plans for resumption this summer of flights also from Minneapolis were shelved by the outbreak of the pandemic.
Now, Delta Air Lines is planning for returning on the route from New York in summer 2021, with five weekly rotations against daily services earlier provided. And with Boeing 767 rather than Boeing 757 aircraft.
Flights from Minneapolis are not, however, currently on the monitor for summer 2021.
