Aug 10, 2020 (newstodate): In July 2020, Finnair lifted a total of 3,562 tonnes of cargo - down 75.9 percent, y-o-y, for obvious reasons.
All lanes reported a strong decline in volumes as passenger traffic carrying cargo loads was still at a minimum.
Only all-cargo flights with passenger aircraft kept volumes streaming, generating a total of 1,439 tonnes in July; but this traffic is declining as well as more and more capacity is thrown into the market while demand is still weak.
In June 2020, all-cargo flights thus generated a total of 3,817 tonnes - more than double the volume in July.
In January-July 2020, the airline has thus lifted a total of 44,080 tonnes of cargo, down 54.5 percent, y-o-y, with all-cargo operations accounting for 11,249 tonnes.
