Aug 26, 2020 (newstodate): Ethiopian Airlines is a staunch provider of cargo uplift serving Norway's seafood exporters.
The carrier is serving Oslo Airport as an extension of the route between Addis Ababa and Stockholm Airport, today offering four weekly passenger flights with Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
Besides, Ethiopian Cargo is also serving the Norwegian market twice-weekly by re-routing freighters and all-cargo flights on its European network to operate via Oslo Airport on their return flights in support of the country's seafood export, adding transfer options to Asia at Addis Ababa Airport.
With the first flight on March 27, 2017, Ethiopian Airlines has been offering five weekly rotations between Addis Ababa and Oslo, providing the first direct air link from Oslo to Africa via Stockholm that has been served since October 28, 2003.
Passenger flights on the route were, however, suspended from March till May 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
