Aug 21, 2020 (newstodate): Despite the over-all negative effects on the industry from the current pandemic, one airline is continuously building up its clout in 2020: Nyxair.
Established in 2017 and obtaining its AOC in March 2018 with one SAAB 340 aircraft in the fleet that today comprises three SAAB 340 passenger and two SAAB 340 cargo aircraft, the Estonian passenger and cargo ACMI carrier Nyxair is announcing an upgrading of its Part-145 certificate to include also SAAB 2000 Line maintenance capability.
The SAAB 2000 is new to its fleet as Nyxair earlier this year took delivery of three ex-Loganair SAAB 2000 aircraft leased from Jetstream Aviation Capital, and now placed at Stockholm Bromma Airport operating on an ACMI contract with the new virtual airline Air Leap offering Swedish domestic flights to Gothenburg, Malmo and Angelholm.
In July 2020, Jetstream Aviation Capital also delivered Nyxair's second Saab 340B cargo aircraft for services with customers in the European, African and M East markets.
In July 2020, Nyxair joined as a member of European Regions Airline Association ERA.
