Aug 31, 2020 (newstodate): In the first half of 2020, Copenhagen Airport handled a total of 109,465 tonnes of cargo, integrators and non-integrators combined - a drop by 36 percent, y-o-y, as a result of the COVID-19 effects.
Non-integrator volumes alone were 77,159 tonnes, down 42 percent in January-June 2020.
Belly-cargo on passenger aircraft generated 35,489 tonnes which was also 43 percent down, y-o-y, but including volumes on all-cargo flights with passenger aircraft in the period with almost no passenger flights.
Non-integrator freighter volumes were 1,276 tonnes - down 95 percent, y-o-y.
As part of the airport's down-sizing of staff, the airport's cargo specialist team reporting to Morten Mortensen, Copenhagen Airport Director Airline Sales & Route Development, has also now been reduced to only two with Lars Godfredsen serving as Copenhagen Airport Air Cargo Manager, and Kaspar Andreas Nissen as Air Cargo Specialist.
