Aug 26, 2020 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport can look forward to an increase in the China-bound traffic from September.
Currently operating one weekly flight on the route between Copenhagen and Beijing via Shijiazhuang, Air China will add a second weekly rotation from September 1, 2020, according to the revised schedule till October 24, 2020.
Air China's flights to Stockholm via Xian will however remain with only one weekly rotation.
Both routes are served with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Air China launched flights on the route to Copenhagen Airport from May 30, 2018, having earlier operated flights on the route while pulling out again from 2001, leaving SAS alone in offering daily flights between the two destinations.
The carrier is served by WFS providing cargo handling at Copenhagen Airport.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport was long the only Nordic airport served by a Chinese carrier, with Air China offering daily rotations on the route from Beijing, and celebrating its 30th anniversary of unbroken services on the route in 2018.
