Aug 10, 2020 (newstodate): AviaAM Leasing, part of the Avia Solutions Group, has announced the acquisition of a production Boeing 747-400F nose-loader aircraft for commercial operations on behalf of Magma Aviation.
   Now in the Magma Aviation fleet and placed under an ACMI contract with Air Atlanta Icelandic, the aircraft has already accomplished its first commercial cargo flight on August 4, 2020.
   -A factory-built freighter offers greater capability for over-size and heavy cargo, overcoming the constraints of a converted side-door only Boeing 747. Added to this, the aircraft has a significantly higher payload – 121 tons compared to 105 tons - and a higher performance range, says Tom Helyar, Magma Aviation General Manager.
   -This aircraft gives us extra capacity and underlines our ambitious plans for growth. We see it as a bold move for the future for us, for the group and for our strategic partner, Air Atlanta Icelandic.
   The Avia Solutions Group manages the Boeing 747-400 freighter aircraft in the fleet of Magma Aviation, a Chapman Freeborn company and a family member of the Avia Solutions Group since October 2019.
