Aug 10, 2020 (newstodate): Aeroflot's regular flights to Scandinavian and Baltic destinations remain on hold pending decision by the EU and Russian Governments to lift travel restrictions currently in force against the COVID-19 pandemic.
-To support our customers, we are offering cargo services via Frankfurt and Amsterdam from where we have regular cargo and passenger flights to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and beyond, says Denis Khmelevshiy, Aeroflot Regional Cargo Manager Nordics and Baltics.
-Larger shipments are trucked into these hubs, and for smaller and more urgent shipments we are partnering with SAS, Finnair and airBaltic to connect to our flights from Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius.
-This still enables us to deliver freight to Moscow in less than 24 hours, and beyond to all of Russia, China, US, India and other international destinations, says Mr Khmelevskiy.
Normally, Aeroflot operates two daily flights from Moscow to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm as well as three daily flights to Helsinki.
In the Baltic markets, Aeroflot normally operates 4-5 daily flights to Riga, two flights to Vilnius and two daily flights to Tallinn.
