Jul 28, 2020 (newstodate): Passenger air traffic at Copenhagen Airport is cautiously rising again as lockdowns are lifted and borders open.
Starting from June 20, 2020, Singapore Airlines is back on the route with passenger flights between Singapore and Copenhagen - but still with only one weekly rotation, using Airbus A350-900.
Singapore Airlines is however also going steady on the route for cargo between Copenhagen and Singapore, having introduced all-cargo flights between Copenhagen and Singapore from April 2, 2020, with Airbus A350-900 passenger aircraft carrying shipments in the belly cargo compartment.
Starting out with one weekly rotation, the all-cargo frequency was later increased two weekly rotations from mid-May - but is now back to one weekly rotation on Wednesdays.
From the outset, a series of only seven rotations were planned, carrying PPE and other medic shipments from Singapore in the belly cargo compartment, leaving for the return flights from Copenhagen to Singapore with a full load of Scandinavian export cargo shipments.
But the series was later extended on a week-by-week basis until finally set up as a scheduled service, still operating until later notice.
