   At least this was the volume of fresh Norwegian salmon exported to China's total market of 1.4 bio consumers in week 26 ending June 28, 2020.
   Volumes in week 26 were thus down 89 percent from 508 tonnes in week 26, 2019, while volumes so far, weeks 1-26 2020, were 9,959 tonnes, down 17 percent, y-o-y.  
   The Chinese authorities enforced an abrupt embargo on salmon imports due to the renewed outbreak of Covid-19 in the Beijing area earlier in June.
   The suspicion over fresh salmon as the root cause of the renewed outbreak of Covid-19 was since revoked, but this still does not show on the volumes listed.
