Jul 27, 2020 (newstodate): The new code-share agreement with Icelandair allows Latvia's airBaltic to return services to North America after a two-year lapse.
As the code-share agreement took effect from July 16, 2020, airBaltic can again issue through-tickets from Riga to Chicago, New York, Denver and Seattle on flights operated by Icelandair at Keflavik Airport.
Previously, airBaltic code-shared with SAS to New York, Chicago and Washington until December 2010, followed by a code-share agreement with Uzbekistan Airways from June 2015 until March 2018.
At the same time, Icelandair now adds its route prefix to airBaltic's flights from Riga to Budapest, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, Palanga, Prague, Keflavik, Stockholm Arlanda, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Warsaw.
