Jun 29, 2020 (newstodate): The government of the United Arab Emirates has now endorsed a new national carrier: Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.
   Planning for start of services by H2, 2020, the coming new airline is a 50/50 JV between Wizz Air and Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company, and will initially start services with a fleet of three Airbus A321neo aircraft, increasing to 50 over the coming ten years.
   The focus of the business plan is to set up traffic between Abu Dhabi and destinations in Russia, Africa, India and Eastern Europe, including the Balkan markets of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro.  
   The endorsement of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is contingent on the carrier fulfilling all legal, administrative and technical conditions and requirements by the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
