Jun 22, 2020 (newstodate): WFS Denmark has launched a project to expand its pharma handling capacity at Copenhagen Airport.
The project is reportedly driven by increasing volumes of temperature-sensitive shipments from the Scandinavian pharma industries, handled by WFS Denmark at the airport.
The expanded facilities are to be commissioned by 2022, sources say.
Integrated within WFS Denmark since August 1, 2019, and officially opened on September 3, 2019, the existing facility has the capacity of providing temperature-controlled end-to-end handling of 300 pallets and 30 PMCs in the 2-8 degrees range, in addition to the capacity of providing temperature-controlled handling space in the 15-25 degrees range at other parts of the cargo terminals.
Offering direct access to the apron, the current facility is equipped with six ramps and cargo doors, and two cool rooms.
