Jun 09, 2020 (newstodate): Despite the drop in tourism, plans for launching a new Romanian charter carrier continue unabated.
With its AOC now in place, Animawings will stick to plans for launch of services later this summer and has now added its first aircraft, an ex-Agean Airlines Airbus A320 to its roster.
The carrier will start out with charter flights from Bucharest to Mediterranean tourist destinations.
Behind the fledgling carrier is Romania's largest tour operator, Christian Tour owned by the Dutch tourism group Memento Group Holding BV.
The core leadership comprises Panait Mihai, Cirjeu Bogdan Cristian, and Stoian Antonio-Viorel who will be General Manager of Animawwings, based at Bucharest.
